How i paint the camouflage

The paints i use for the coat and camo are:

  • Citadel baneblade brown
  • Citadel abaddon  black
  • Citadel jokaero orange
  • Citadel agrax earthshade
  • Citadel ushabti bone

Other color i use are:

  • Citadel mournfang brown
  • Citadel rhinox hide
  • Citadel gehenna's gold
  • Citadel boltgun metal (can use ironbreaker)
  • Vallejo USA grey
First i left of the arms to make it easyer to paint the chest.I start with the base colors, i used baneblade brown for the coat, usa grey for the paints, mournfang brown for the leather parts, blotgun metal for all thats going to be metal, gehenna's gold for the mouth part, ushabti bone for the gas mask, gloves, tarp on back pack and the warps around the boots. Black was used for lenses, bots, helmet, the base is colored i rhinox hide.

After this part was done i startet with the camo patern on the coat. here i start with bloting inn a patern in black(se pictures below).

When i was satisfied with the partern i painted i started painting inn with jokaero orange(se pictures below).

After this i used agrax earthshade, when it was dry i used ushabti bone on the edges on the coat to make it stand out more. I allso highlighted back up the tarp on the backpack and the gas mask(se pictures below).

This is how i paint the camouflage, and the other things. Form here you can highlight or just leave as is for tabletopp standar. I fill inn the other colors like the leather and pants, i also highlight the boots after i painted the base. After that i superglu the gun to the thorso.

I have painted my command squad up to this point. The next post will be how i paint the rest in more detail, just needed to get this out.

Death korps of krieg - The start

Hey, long time since last time i was active here.( hehehe….)
Well time for a update on what i am doing. I have acquired some death korps of krieg miniatures from a friend.

What i got:

1 - Hq squad
1 - Command squad
2 - Firing squads
1 - Advancing squad
1 - Grenadier centaur
3 - Lasgun teams
3 - Heavy bolters teams

I’m quite happy with what i got and to the price i got them for, most of them was not assembled and those who where, was a brees to fix. The Hq squad was assembled and primed, so no problem there. The rest was in bags, only 1 of the troops squads was assembled, but no problem there either. So i have put together 2 troops, the Hq squad i just fixed a bit.

Advancing squad

HQ squad

I primed them and started painting the squads

I decided i wanted to have the german autumn camo from WWII (it’s not going to be any SS or Nazi army, i just like the camo scheme).

I got inspired from looking at the DakkaDakka where i found out that someone else had done it with death korps of krieg, and that it looked really good.

Here are the firing squad and the advancing squad almost done, they just need some tocuh, they also need some dead yellow grass and leafs, after that they are finished.

At the moment now i am painting my command squad, want some more training before i tackle the Hq squad.

I have used vallejo air grey primer, and baneblade brown as the first basecoat.

Here are the bases i made for them. I have used Citadel sand and the citadel 40k baseing kit to make them. They are primed with vallejo grey primer.

Next post vill be a painting tutorial of how i paint them. Looking forward to that.
(Edit: had to reupload the images because my image hosting site stoped hosting for free...)

I'm very new to this and exited to get this off the ground. The blogg will be here for motivation and will act like an archiv over what i have done over the years. Also in this blogg i will post my projects and some progression on them. I will start with where i started at and where i am now.
Will try to post some pictures today.
